Your tasks:

• Calibration of parameters of the Engine Management System (EMS) on the engine test bench and in the vehicle to comply with European emission legislation and On-Board-Monitoring requirements (OBM). Simultaneously optimization of fuel consumption and driving performance for combustion engine and plug-in hybrid vehicles
• Development of new software logics to improve the emission control of the engine and vehicle
• Participation in European test drives under extreme climatic conditions for calibration and validation
• Planning and management of projects considering budget, resource, and time specifications
• Documentation as well as presentation of project and development results
• Close cooperation with the specialist departments of the Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Center (HMETC) as well as the Research and Development Center in Namyang (South Korea)

Your qualifications:

• Completed studies in the field of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Automotive Engineering
• Experience in the calibration of Engine Control Units (ECU) as well as in vehicle testing and validation
• Experience with calibration tools such as INCA, ETAS MOCA, Uniplot, or AVL Concerto; knowledge of Matlab/Simulink is an advantage
• High motivation and openness towards the constantly changing requirements of the automotive market
• Enthusiasm for innovative technologies as well as understanding of relevant market trends
• Willingness to travel as well as a valid Class B driver's license
• Very good analytical skills and strong problem-solving competence
• Very good English skills as well as intercultural and communicative skills
• Confident handling of Microsoft applications, especially PowerPoint and Excel, as well as experience in presenting and reporting
