Job Purpose Oversee and be responsible for all legal matters of the company, including drafting, reviewing, and managing business contracts (Contract Management); providing legal advice to management and operations teams; taking legal action when litigation or disputes arise (e.g., breach of lease agreements, vehicle theft, accidents, legal execution, and debt collection); as well as ensuring compliance with digital business laws, technology laws, and PDPA.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Contracts & Legal Documents
  • Draft, review, and amend business contracts such as short-term/long-term vehicle lease agreements, application Terms & Conditions, business partner agreements (B2B Partner/Station), and various employment or service agreements.
  • Review vehicle insurance coverage terms and agreements with insurance companies.
  1. Litigation & Dispute Resolution
  • Utilize a lawyer's license (Lawyer License) to conduct litigation, representing the company in contacting, filing lawsuits, mediating, or proceeding through court proceedings, investigation stages (Police Stations), and relevant government agencies.
  • Manage disputes arising from Car-Sharing services, such as vehicle theft/larceny cases, embezzlement, serious accidents, traffic violations with unpaid fines, and service fee arrears.
  • Issue Notice Papers, follow up on debt collection, schedule mediations, and perform legal execution according to legal procedures.
  1. Legal Advisory & Compliance
  • Provide legal advice to internal teams (e.g., Operations, Customer Support, Fleet Team) regarding legal issues in daily operations.
  • Oversee business operations and the company's platform to ensure compliance with relevant laws, such as the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), Computer-Related Crime Act, and Land Traffic Act.
  • Coordinate with external law firms (if any) or specialized legal advisors for highly complex cases.

Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.) or higher. License: Must possess a valid (not expired) Lawyer License (If focusing on court litigation, may specify: having a lawyer license for more than 2 years will be given special consideration). 2 - 5+ years of experience in legal work (Experience in Car Rental, Logistics, Fleet Management, Tech Startup, or E-Commerce will be given special consideration). Hands-on experience in drafting/reviewing contracts and conducting litigation in court/police proceedings. Strong knowledge of Civil and Commercial Law (Embezzlement, Hire of Property, Tort, Juristic Acts and Contracts), Criminal Law, and Procedural Law. Understanding of PDPA and Information Technology laws. Strong communication, negotiation, dispute mediation, and problem-solving skills. Good English language skills (capable of reviewing basic English contract drafts). Detail-oriented, systematic thinker, and highly agile (ready to work in a Tech Enterprise / Startup style). Able to travel to contact police stations, courts, or external government agencies as necessary.
