Surveying Engineer (m/f/d) for Marine Surveying

The Geo Group was founded in 1997 and is today one of the leading engineering offices for marine and engineering surveying in Germany. At our locations in Germany and Poland, we employ approximately 200 employees. Due to extensive specialized technology and the know-how of our employees, we offer our customers the entire spectrum of hydrographic services at the highest level, in addition to classic engineering surveying. Furthermore, we are active on a project basis in many European countries.

For our marine surveying at the Sundhagen (Miltzow) location, we are looking for a Surveying Engineer (m/f/d) at the earliest possible date.

YOUR TASKS:

• You carry out one- to multi-day geophysical measurements and further develop existing procedures
• You evaluate the recorded data and interpret the results in the form of maps, digital terrain models, and volume calculations
• You create daily reports as well as other project-specific documentation
• You undertake tasks in construction supervision, e.g., geophysical and geotechnical ground investigations, HDD drilling, dredging work, as well as UXO detection and clearance
• You acquire high technical expertise in a secondary function in a specialized area of surveying and are available to advise other employees

YOUR PROFILE:

• Degree (even those who discontinued their studies from the 4th semester with practical experience have a chance) in the field of surveying, geodesy, geophysics, geology, geoinformation, or a related course of study
• Professional experience desirable (we also give motivated career starters a chance)
• Knowledge in handling Multibeam Echosounder, Side-Scan Sonar, Magnetometer, and Sub-Bottom Profiler
• You possess quick comprehension, can improvise, and have the ability to work independently
• You enjoy your profession, are innovative, and like working in a team
• You possess basic knowledge of English in speaking and writing
• You possess a Class B driver's license
