Linux System Administrator

To strengthen our team at the Wels, Graz, or Vienna location, we are looking for 1 Linux System Administrator. In your role as a system administrator, the goal is the operation of a highly available on-premises server and storage landscape. The focus is on the operation of the central Fronius server, storage, and backup infrastructure. Furthermore, you will work closely with different business areas and always maintain a broad perspective.
Your tasks:
- Ongoing assurance of the availability and performance of our server systems and the virtual Linux servers running on them
- Structured implementation of necessary implementations or optimizations
- Identification and rectification of malfunctions (remote in the global Fronius subsidiaries)
- Proactive support and continuous further development of the system landscape
- Support during maintenance work, applying patches, and software updates (three to four times per year also on weekends)
- Ongoing construction of the IT knowledge base
Your profile:
- Several years of professional experience and completed training in the IT environment
- Experience in the administration of Linux servers
- Knowledge in configuration management (Ansible, Salt) and Infrastructure as Code
- Administrative knowledge in the area of virtualization solutions, enterprise storage systems, and backup systems
- Knowledge in Kubernetes and microservices
- Enjoyment of troubleshooting and consistent solving of IT problems
- Team-oriented, independent, and structured way of working
- Reliability, temporal flexibility, and strong communication skills (also in English)

Our wages and salaries are above the collective agreement (KV) of the electrical and electronics industry. The KV minimum values are between € 3,449.08 and € 4,993.21 - with a willingness to overpay. The exact amount depends on your qualification and experience.
