Materials Engineer in composites for the defense industry

About the role In this role, you will become part of a Material & Process team working with the introduction of new materials, development of material systems and associated processes, as well as technology development. The role focuses on composites and manufacturing processes and involves close collaboration with colleagues, suppliers, and other specialist functions throughout the entire development and industrialization chain.
Examples of tasks
Work with manufacturing processes and quality issues in collaboration with suppliers
Support product development through all phases – from concept and system design to verification and delivery
Plan and execute testing campaigns for materials and components
Develop and update material and process specifications
Contribute to and drive technology development within the composite area
Participate in material qualification, manufacturing, and repair-related issues
Collaborate with several different functions to ensure effective and robust manufacturing solutions
Participate in industrialization and development of new materials and processes
Travel to other business locations and suppliers may occur in the position
We are looking for you who have
Relevant post-secondary education, for example in composite technology, materials engineering, or similar
At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in composite manufacturing, preferably within industrial operations
Communication skills in Swedish and English, both oral and written
Ability to travel for work
The assignment is classified for security clearance. Prior to employment, you are required to undergo a security clearance and be approved according to current security protection regulations. This may involve requirements for certain citizenship.

Experience in the aerospace or defense industry
