Software Developer Functional Safety (m/f/d)

Your area of responsibility

• Development and expansion of safety-relevant functions for drives under real-time conditions
• Analysis of requirements and creation of concepts according to safety standards
• Software design, programming in C, as well as integration into existing systems
• Verification, validation, and certification of software according to international standards such as IEC 61508 or ISO 13849
• Execution of error analyses, simulations of critical scenarios with test frameworks such as Tessy or VectorCAST
• Creation of technical documentation and evidence for audits and certifications
• Participation in safety analyses (e.g., FMEA, FMEDA) in the development process
• Support during commissioning as well as troubleshooting in the customer environment on-site or remote

Your profile

• Completed studies in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable STEM subject (e.g., Physics)
• Knowledge of low-level programming with C under Linux or RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS)
• Experience in dealing with safety engineering methods such as SIL assessment or Hazard Analysis desirable
• Practical experience with version control systems such as Git and build systems e.g., CMake desired
• Knowledge of model-based development using UML/SysML is advantageous
• Experience in the development of control algorithms or electrical machines is a plus but not a requirement
• Knowledge of relevant standards for functional safety (such as IEC 61508) required or willingness to learn
• English skills at a technical level required; German skills desirable
