Development Engineer Flight Control Hydraulics (m/f/d)

Your area of responsibility

  • Design support for the entire product lifecycle, taking into account function, weight, cost, certification, manufacturing, and maintainability aspects - Tiger
  • Conception, detailed design, and integration of the systems and components of flight control, hydraulics, and actuator technology in CATIA V5
  • Use of mainly metallic materials for the design of the flight control kinematics, applying detailed knowledge of metallic materials, manufacturing processes, and surface treatment
  • Integration of the flight control, hydraulics, and actuator technology systems into the helicopter, coordination of the corresponding interfaces
  • Carrying out assembly and integration studies, creating detailed designs and construction documents in CATIA V5 & VPM
  • Kinematics analyses regarding control paths, tolerances, and rigging in CATIA V5
  • Release of construction documents and documents in SAP or Windchill
  • Contribution to the creation of documentation for design and construction as well as documents for qualification and certification, as well as the creation of maintenance concepts and maintenance documentation
  • Modification of existing design/manufacturing documents and documents to implement product improvements and handle obsolescence
  • Contribution to maintaining airworthiness

Your profile

  • Completed studies in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable engineering science (at least Bachelor's degree)
  • Several years of professional experience in the aviation industry, ideally in the field of flight control, hydraulics, actuator technology, or mechanical system integration
  • Sound knowledge in the design and integration of mechanical systems as well as in handling metallic materials, manufacturing processes, and surface treatments
  • Very good user knowledge in CATIA V5; experience with SAP, VPM, and/or Windchill is an advantage
  • Experience in the creation, modification, and release of technical documentation and design documents, as well as in the qualification and certification environment of aviation
  • Business fluent English skills as well as an independent, structured way of working and strong communication skills in international and intercultural teams
