ASSOCIATE/CA ON THE PROJECT JUNIOR RESEARCHER ON THE PROJECT

Based on Article 12 of the Statute, the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, announces a COMPETITION

For the job position Associate on the project Junior researcher on the project „Development of innovative fireplaces with variable combustion chamber geometry and multi-layer heating power level“- RIKAPROGEL at the Department of Energy Plants, Energy and Environment, Chair of Turbomachinery, project reference numbers: KK. IP.1.1.03.0088, call for proposal submission: Strengthening strategic partnerships for innovation in the industrial transition process, fixed-term work (predictably until December 1, 2027.), full-time, with a 6-month probationary period condition, at the Department of Energy Plants, Energy and Environment at the Chair of Turbomachinery, 1 executor (m/f).

Job description for the position of Junior researcher on the project:

• participates in the work on the scientific project
• Participates in research and development activities on the project

Applicants applying for the position must meet the following requirements:

• completed university graduate study or integrated university undergraduate and graduate study in the field of technical sciences, field of mechanical engineering
• active knowledge of the English language in speaking and writing,
• computer literacy (MS Office, LaTEx),
• experience working in CAD programs (Solidworks, Rhino, Onshape)
• Experience working in CFD programs (OpenFOAM, cfMesh)

In the application for the competition, applicants must state personal data:

first name and surname, residential address, telephone number and e-mail address, and the name of the job position (with the serial number indicated) for which they are submitting the application.

Applicants are obliged to submit, along with the written application, evidence of meeting the competition requirements: curriculum vitae, proof of professional qualifications, proof of work experience (copy of the work booklet or electronic record or confirmation of data recorded in the registry of the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute), proof of citizenship, and other attachments proving the fulfillment of special competition requirements.

Applicants who, based on special regulations, invoke the right of priority in employment, are obliged in the application for the competition to invoke that right and attach all evidence that special regulations prescribe for the exercise of that right. Such applicants achieve priority in employment compared to other applicants, only under equal conditions.

For applicants who, in the application for the competition, invoke the right of priority in employment according to the Act on Croatian Defenders of the Homeland War and their family members (NN 121/17), the list of evidence required to exercise that right is available at the Ministry of Croatian Veterans link https://gov.hr/moja-uprava/hrvatski-branitelji/zaposljavanje/prednost-pri-zaposljavanju/403.

Incomplete and untimely applications will not be considered.

Applicants will be informed of the result of the competition within the period prescribed by law.

Competition documentation, i.e., data on candidates, is kept for three months from the date of concluding the employment contract with the selected candidate. After the expiration of the storage period, the documentation is destroyed, provided that each candidate may collect their documentation at the employer's office before the expiration of the storage period.

Persons of both sexes have the right to apply to the competition under equal conditions.

The deadline for submitting applications to the competition is 8 days from the publication of the competition.
