THE ACCOMPANIED COMPANY AND THE MISSIONS

The company

Do you want to take part in a large-scale technological transformation in the field of connected objects?

Externatic is currently supporting an innovative French company, recognized in its field, in the recruitment of its future Systems and Networks Engineer on a permanent contract (CDI).

Our client is committed to evolving its IT platforms by focusing on optimization, service performance, and team collaboration. The company is entering a phase of technological transformation of its infrastructures, focused on the redesign and maintenance of operational conditions of its environments.

You will join the team to form a pair with a systems administrator. You will intervene in the network scope (RUN and BUILD projects), while ensuring a strong systems component as a backup (estimated global workload of 50% network / 50% systems on a daily basis).

The technical environment, entirely On-Premise, leaves real room for reflection, initiative-taking, and the evolution of procedures.

Your missions

Within a human-sized technical team and in direct interaction with the development teams, you will act as the reference for the network component and guarantee the overall robustness of the infrastructures.

Your responsibilities include notably:

  • Ensuring the maintenance of operational conditions (RUN) of the existing network infrastructure
  • Taking charge of network evolution projects (BUILD) to support the company's growth
  • Supporting and working in a pair with the systems administrator, ensuring daily backup for the management of Linux environments, virtual machines, and applications
  • Guaranteeing the monitoring and supervision of infrastructures via the deployment and centralization of OpenSource log tools
  • Participating in the maintenance and interconnection of tools intended for the development team (CI/CD, versioning, artifactory)
  • Managing level 2/3 incidents and requests, while ensuring the security and high availability of solutions
  • Actively participating in technical documentation and the structuring of continuous improvement procedures
  • Stack & technical environment: Linux environments (Debian, Ubuntu...), Virtualization (VMware, Proxmox), Network (Routing, Switching, Security), OpenSource Supervision & logs, Dev Tools (Jenkins, Artifactory, GitLab), Scripting (Bash, Python), 100% On-Premise Infrastructure.
