AI Augmented Software Engineer

Our client, a consulting firm specializing in software engineering and committed to a Tech for Good approach, is looking for an AI Augmented Software Engineer for its Paris subsidiary, dedicated to innovation and the development of its engineering approaches.

Your role

You will leverage the most advanced AI tools to accelerate development cycles and stimulate innovation. As a key member of the team, you will utilize your skills in software development, application architecture, and problem-solving to design both rapid prototypes and production-ready solutions. You will rely on AI-augmented development tools to improve code quality, automate repetitive tasks, and accelerate delivery, while maintaining a high level of engineering excellence. Working closely with project teams and business stakeholders, you will put your technical expertise at the service of innovation, through both traditional development practices and in an AI-augmented work environment. Your interpersonal skills will allow you to build or integrate a high-performing engineering team, capable of sustainably exceeding expectations by effectively combining human expertise and AI capabilities.

Your mission

As a tech consultant, your mission is carried out both internally and for the company's clients. With clients, you will be required to:

• Write code in compliance with best practices and with a software craftsmanship mindset, augmented by AI.
• Design simple and scalable architectures, adapted to various contexts and needs, using AI-powered approaches.
• Act as a proactive proposer to the client and your teammates to identify, test, and adapt the most relevant tools and methods to the mission's context.
• Leverage AI to effectively diagnose and resolve technical problems.
• Perform code, accessibility, performance, and security audits, combining your expertise with AI-assisted analysis.
• Listen, rephrase, translate into diagrams, design, and facilitate workshops: in short, do everything necessary to guarantee continuous mutual understanding.
• Participate in, facilitate, and/or organize the agile ceremonies in place on your projects.

Internally, you will be required to:

• Contribute to the company's internal R&D work, which is constantly evolving, alongside its expert teams.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and AI-related development practices.

Profile

• You have at least 5 years of experience in IT development across several of the following technologies: Java 17/25, .NET, React, Angular, Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, etc.
• You are sufficiently technologically agnostic to appreciate the discovery and implementation of other stacks, and open to cross-functional roles when project quality requires it.
• You are proactive, curious, and open to different logics and backgrounds.
• You master the use of one or more AI code assistants (for example GitHub Copilot, Continue, Code Assist, Cursor…) for code generation and problem-solving.
• You understand the principles of prompt engineering for optimal interaction with AI tools.
• You demonstrate critical and analytical thinking to validate and verify code and solutions generated by AI.
• You have a genuine desire for continuous learning and to follow the rapid evolution of the AI ecosystem.
• You are sensitive to social, environmental, and Tech for Good issues, and integrate them into what you build.
• You speak English to communicate with your international peers; mastery of other foreign languages is a plus.
