Engineer (f/m/d) Process Simulation (Engineer - Process Engineering)
Job Title: Engineer (f/m/d) Process Simulation & autom. Condition Monitoring Gas Turbines
At the Institut für Verbrennungstechnik, we are shaping the future of energy and mobility. Our 100 employees from various disciplines optimize technical combustion processes using numerical models, modern experimental techniques, and chemical-kinetic methods. Alternative, climate-neutral, and synthetic fuels (fuels, power fuels, and propellants) in liquid and gaseous form are a central research area of the institute.
What to expect
Development of innovative plant and burner concepts for climate-neutral fuels in the Mikrogasturbinen department Experimental investigation of the concepts on in-house test benches Collaboration in the Systemanalyse group, a small team with short coordination paths Programming of simulation and analysis tools to analyze novel cycle and control concepts Development of methods to monitor the condition of gas turbines automatically and derive predictive maintenance recommendations
Your tasks
Further development and application of our process simulation tools for the analysis and optimization of innovative gas turbine processes Development and support of modular software tools for the flexible analysis of experimental measurement data Presentation and publication of scientific results at conferences and in specialist journals, as well as supervision of students Development of innovative methods for condition monitoring and predictive maintenance of gas turbines using physical and data-based approaches
What you bring with you
completed university degree in engineering (e.g., Verfahrenstechnik, Energietechnik, Technische Kybernetik, Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik, Ingenieurinformatik, or comparable) practical experience in the software development of scientific-technical applications, especially with MATLAB and Simulink good knowledge of thermodynamic processes basic knowledge in the modeling and simulation of thermodynamic processes knowledge of Python independent and result-oriented way of working very good English skills in speaking and writing
