A prerequisite for consideration for employment is that you hold a certificate as Able Seaman, have an approved and valid medical certificate, as well as a certificate for firefighting and a certificate for operating lifeboats. You can expect to perform the following tasks:

General maintenance

Loading / unloading incl. securing

Participate in deck watch and/or engine watch

About you

In addition to the above, if you hold special certificates for sailing on passenger ships, such as 'Fast Rescue Boat' or a forklift driver's license, it is important that you highlight this in your application. Likewise, it is necessary to be able to speak and understand the English language. DFDS terms The terms of employment are regulated by the Seafarers Act and collective agreements between Sømændenes Forbund or Metal Maritime and Danske Rederier / DFDS.

Service periods are a minimum of 14 days in duration, followed by 14 days of vacation and leave, but in connection with extraordinary transports and special routes, there will be or will arise deviations from this agreement.
