At the earliest possible date, we are looking for a Design Engineer (m/f/d) in Weimar
What to expect:
- Independent development and design of components and assemblies
- Creation of 3D models, individual part, assembly, installation, and customer drawings and their verification
- Performance of required calculations and tolerance analyses
- Definition of mechanical specifications for the layout of printed circuit boards
- Performance of feasibility analyses and space investigations
- Coordination and alignment with adjacent specialist departments
- Application of standards, guidelines, regulations, and QM regulations
- Selection of materials
- Component and process research, component verification, and validation
- Creation, continuous updating, and maintenance of IMDS and REACH data
- Participation in FMEA creation
- Processing of change requests and entry of bills of materials in SAP
- Support in achieving schedule, cost, and quality targets
- Integration and maintenance of data for individual parts and sub-assemblies of products within the framework of the product lifecycle
What you bring:
- Engineering degree or training as a technician or designer
- Several years of professional experience in the electrical engineering, communications engineering, telecommunications engineering, or similar industries, preferably with an automotive connection
- Good knowledge in the application of 3D-CAD systems (preferably Siemens NX, CATIA V5, and CREO, CAddy)
- Confident handling of SAP and MS-Office
- Innovative team player with a high level of social competence and professional appearance
- Good communication skills/multicultural openness
- Independent, systematic, and responsible way of working
- Very good Mandarin and English skills (spoken and written)
- High capacity for comprehension and flexibility
