Our client is a French company founded in 2022, specializing in the development, industrialization, and production of high-power hydrogen fuel cell systems.
To support its strong growth and as part of the launch of a new generation of systems, the company is looking for a designer (M/F) of innovative mechanical equipment integrating thermal systems, fluid circuits, mechanical structures, piping networks, as well as complex mechanical assemblies... intervening across the entire product development cycle, from the design phase to prototyping and industrialization.
Your missions
- Design mechanical assemblies and components intended for advanced energy systems and auxiliary equipment, including mechanical structures and housings, manifolds and piping networks, flange assemblies, heat exchangers, bellows and expansion joints, air and gas treatment and circulation equipment, and thermal management systems.
- Create 3D models, detailed manufacturing drawings, as well as technical documentation.
- Select the most suitable materials based on mechanical, thermal (high temperatures), and industrial constraints.
- Perform sizing calculations related to structural strength, thermal expansion, and pressure equipment.
- Participate in design validation using numerical simulations (Finite Element Analysis – FEA, CFD where necessary) and prototype testing.
- Collaborate closely with the Systems, Processes, Industrialization, and Testing teams throughout the product development.
- Participate in prototype assembly, testing campaigns, and continuous product improvement.
Your profile
- Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 7 years of experience in full mechanical design (up to industrialization) of welded, machined, and manufactured assemblies or complex mechanical systems.
- Excellent mastery of 3D CAD software (CATIA ideally).
- Good knowledge of prototype development, product validation, processes and manufacturing plans, as well as Design for Manufacturing (DfM) principles... in a mass production environment.
- Solid knowledge in mechanics: functional dimensioning (GD&T), material selection, structural design, and mechanical sizing.
- Professional English is essential.
Job advantages
- Design innovative products that concretely contribute to the energy transition.
- Participate in ambitious multidisciplinary technical projects.
- Follow your designs from the initial idea through to industrialization.
