Offshore Structure Design Technician M/F

The Renewable Marine Energies Business Unit of Chantiers de l'Atlantique has been active for several years in the renewable marine energy markets, particularly on electrical substation contracts for offshore wind farms. Reporting to the Structure Engineering sector, composed of 50 people, you will work within the team in charge of the design of the metallic structure for offshore electrical substations. Your main missions are as follows:

• Participate in the design and modeling of metallic structures;
• Perform studies while respecting current standards, internal standards, and technical requirements of clients;
• Take into account constraints related to the final product: manufacturing, transport, installation, and operation;
• Work in collaboration with multidisciplinary project teams;
• Propose improvements in a logic of continuous progress;
• Perform calculation notes to dimension reinforcements;
• Occasional travel in France or Europe may be to be expected.

With experience, you will be able to evolve towards local management missions and coordination of structure studies. Come participate in the emergence of the French offshore wind industry and be an actor in the energy transition!

With a BAC+2/3 education in a technical field, you have basic knowledge in: structure, naval construction, metallic construction, boilermaking, or design. You master 2D/3D CAD/CAE tools (such as Smart Marine 3D, Solid Edge, AutoCAD...). Skills in pre-dimensioning or analytical calculation would be a plus. The use of written technical English is necessary within the framework of the position. Coming to us also means:
