Safety Engineer - Home Office
ATTRIBUTIONS:
Attributions: Act in an integrated manner with the operation, monitoring the implementation of recommendations arising from safety studies (APR, HAZOP, bowtie, and related), ensuring compliance with review deadlines and the effective closure of action plans, as well as the planning, coordination, and execution of safety support services for operations. This professional will ensure compliance with internal standards and applicable legislation (NRs and other legal requirements), support internal and external audits, prepare and review procedures, opinions, and technical reports, and conduct management of change with a focus on incorporating risk controls and safeguards. Other responsibilities include the consolidation and analysis of SMS indicators for managerial decision-making, the monitoring of critical equipment and its contingencies, the release and supervision of high-risk activities (such as confined spaces, hot work, and potentially explosive atmospheres), the investigation of incidents/accidents with the definition of causes and the proposal of corrective and preventive actions, participation in emergency response plans and drills, and the continuous training of teams through training sessions.
A differential would be having CBSP, THUET, NRs 33, 35, and 37 training.
Minimum time of experience in the area: Minimum proven experience of 5 years in conducting risk analyses, such as: HAZOP, APR/APP, HAZID, BOWTIE techniques, ACH, and SMS in industrial environments (oil and gas, chemical, mining, or similar), mastery of applicable NRs and risk analysis tools, analytical capacity for data processing and report preparation, clear communication, influence, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
- Higher Education in Engineering (no specific specialty).
- Solid experience in conducting risk analyses, such as: HAZOP, APR/APP, HAZID, BOWTIE techniques.
EXPECTED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Microsoft Office Suite;
- Intermediate English;
- ACH.
REGIME
Homeoffice with occasional offshore assignments.
