If you are a civil servant, a secondment within your current pay group can be reviewed for the period of the fixed-term contract; however, reimbursement claims from your authority will only be reimbursed up to the level of pay group A 11 BBesO. A transfer is not possible.
In the research of the THW-Leitung in Bonn, you will, as an administrative assistant, process the already ongoing EU projects SYNERGISE, FORESIGHT, and RESCUE. In these projects, technological solutions for increased safety and efficiency of emergency forces as well as sustainable power generation systems for operations are being developed.
You will undertake the following tasks:
- Organization, planning, management, and coordination of the SYNERGISE-FORESIGHT-RESCUE research projects in coordination with the scientific staff
- Integration of other THW organizational units into the projects
- Operational management of project funds, including carrying out procurements as well as participating in the monitoring of the project budget and reporting
- Supporting the scientific staff in fulfilling the project goals
- Organization and implementation of conferences and trade fairs
- Organization, implementation, and follow-up of tests and exercises
- Advising the (research) partners in the SYNERGISE-FORESIGHT-RESCUE research projects regarding the individual work packages and sub-projects
- Substantive and technical analysis of project inquiries
- Participation in international conferences, workshops, and field tests
You bring with you:
- Successfully completed Bachelor's degree at a (technical) university, for example in engineering sciences or disaster management
- THW employees under collective agreements in a comparable middle service who have acquired eligibility to apply internally within the THW may also apply
- Knowledge and experience in the administrative and financial processing of EU funding projects or the willingness and ability to acquire these in the short term
- Ideally experience in civil or disaster protection
- Conceptual and strategic thinking
- Gender and diversity competence
- Excellent communication skills and intercultural competence
- Very good oral and written expression and good IT skills in MS Office
- Business fluent English skills in speaking and writing (at least level C1)
- Willingness for close and cooperative cooperation with THW helpers
- Willingness for planned business trips
- Willingness to perform duties and be reachable outside of usual working hours if required (e.g., in the event of an operation), to participate in the management and coordination staff (LuK), as well as to wear service or operational clothing on certain occasions
