Senior System Engineer (m/f/d) Failure Analysis Power Electronics in Remote (1704) (Engineer - Automotive Engineering)
Your career in the technical failure analysis of electrical drive systems.
With BRÜGGEN ENGINEERING, you will analyze and resolve complex faults in power electronic inverter systems for hybrid and fully electric vehicles. As a technical expert, you will identify causes, coordinate corrective measures, and ensure system robustness together with interdisciplinary development teams.
How you contribute to our mutual success
- Failure Analysis: You investigate complained-about returns and identify the causes of complex defects in power electronic inverter systems.
- Trouble-Shooting: You develop solution strategies at the system level and coordinate troubleshooting between system testing, hardware, and software.
- Test Planning: You define, plan, and realize demanding test cases at the test bench, HiL, eDyne, and vehicle levels.
- Technical Coordination: You participate in design reviews, project meetings, and technical evaluations.
- Customer Communication: In the event of failures, you act as the technical interface to the customer and present complex issues in an understandable manner.
- Defect Management: You document and track errors in JIRA, maintain key figures, and report transparently on the processing status.
- Responsibility: You make sound technical decisions and manage measures across various departments and locations.
What you bring with you
- Qualification: Completed Master's degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a comparable field of study
- Experience: At least eight years of professional experience in automotive system development, ideally in the field of power electronics, inverters, or electrical drive systems
- System Understanding: Deep understanding of the interactions between hardware, software, system functions, and vehicle applications
- Problem Solving: Sound experience in systematic Root-Cause-Analysis as well as independent assumption of technical responsibility for complex failure cases
- Tools: Knowledge of Polarion, JIRA, ETAS INCA, Vector CANape and CANoe as well as MATLAB and Simulink
- Safety: Knowledge of functional safety according to ISO 26262 as well as practical experience with high-voltage systems
- Communication: Strong presentation skills, teamwork ability, and very good English skills; German skills are an advantage
- Mobility: Class B driver's license and willingness to travel to Luxembourg of up to 25 %
What we offer
- Attractive Conditions: Permanent full-time position with compensation that corresponds to your qualification and experience
- Future-proof Projects: Take on technical responsibility for demanding power electronics and electrical drive systems
- Dynamic Team: Collegial environment with short decision-making paths
