As a Transport Coordinator, you are responsible for the transport of equipment for Boskalis projects worldwide. You draw up the shipping plan for the designated goods, vessels, and equipment for projects and locations and are responsible for the correct execution of the plan.

You coordinate the tendering of all shipments to and from locations. You also ensure that shipments are sent in accordance with local customs requirements, processes, procedures, and company guidelines. In short; you make the difference by making all the transport puzzle pieces fit together seamlessly.

What you will do further as a Transport Coordinator

  • Ensure that the necessary documentation is available in a timely manner for the shipment of goods, vessels, and equipment.
  • Regularly inform stakeholders about the progress of the shipment.
  • Ensure that all logistical data in the ERP system is correct and up-to-date.
  • Maintain and share accurate and current knowledge regarding developments in the (internal) market; rates of shipping companies, carriers, intermediaries, (port) agents, etc.

What you bring

  • Completed MBO education, preferably at the Scheepvaart en Transport College.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in project logistics.
  • Knowledge of and experience with (international) customs processes and procedures.
  • Experience in an (international) project organization.
  • Good command of English (spoken and written).
  • Knowledge of Office applications and ERP systems.

  • Fulltime/ parttime: The position of Transport Coordinator is fulltime (40 hours per week).
