THE ROLE

Become a process engineer! Play an important role in the production of biopharmaceutical active ingredients at the Focused Factory Microbial of Boehringer Ingelheim at the Vienna site! In an interdisciplinary team, we create the prerequisites for successful process transfer. Tasks and Responsibilities

• Coordination and management of the process transfer for the Upstream area of biopharmaceutical processes into the GMP production facility of the Focused Factory Microbial (up to 6000 L fermenter volume)
• Technical coordination of process or technology transfers and scale-ups from internal development as well as for third-party customer business
• Technical planning and management of large-scale technical test runs (engineering runs) as well as support for routine production
• Technology interface between Operations/Production, Manufacturing Science, and Process Science/Development
• Collaboration in the creation of process validation and submission documentation

Requirements

• Completed scientific studies with a focus on Biotechnology or Process Engineering
• Practical experience in the field of microbial fermentation and recombinant protein expression in corresponding expression systems
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry/GMP knowledge is an advantage
• Business fluent English skills (oral and written)
• Professional appearance and communication behavior when dealing with international customers, as well as enjoyment of working in interdisciplinary teams

The minimum basic salary according to classification under the collective agreement for this position is € 49,804.58 gross per year (full-time). The actual salary is based on industry-standard salaries, your individual qualifications, and experience.
