R&D Engineer - Composite Winding Process (all genders) (Forschungs- und Entwicklungsingenieur/in)
YOUR TASKS
The What: COPV failure in aerospace is a solved problem – if the underlying process is correct. The quality of our composite winding process determines the quality of every tank we build. We are looking for an engineer to take ownership of this research, actively drive it forward, and help us build tanks that do not fail.
The Why: You are the owner of our composite winding process research. You don't take over a finished method – you develop one. From experimental design to test execution, data analysis, and knowledge transfer within the team: You plan the work, carry it out, and bear responsibility for the results.
You ensure that:
- Experiments are carefully designed and systematically carried out.
- Insights are critically analyzed and translated into concrete process improvements.
- Knowledge is documented and shared so that the team progresses together.
YOUR MISSION
Research and improve the composite winding process: Design and conduct experiments to further develop our winding process and improve tank performance. Learn from every project, continuously increase your efficiency, and develop your own improvement ideas. High Performance – Deliver strong results even under pressure. Every project makes the next one better.
Lead projects with full individual responsibility: Take full responsibility for assigned projects – scope, schedule, and results. Drive projects forward without needing to be prompted. Question your own results and strive for better. Accountability – Stand by your work. Follow through. Deliver results independently.
Work closely within the team and cross-functionally: Work effectively within the team and with colleagues from across the entire company. Coordinate on test plans, proactively share your progress, and contribute to a team that acts as a unit. Togetherness – The team wins together. Support others the way you wish to be supported.
Share results and openly question ideas: Defend your conclusions with conviction and remain open when others disagree. Document and share knowledge proactively – what you learn should not stay only with you. In our environment, transparency and openly addressing problems is not just a value – it is a safety requirement. Candor – Address problems early. Speak up. Resolve things faster.
Bring curiosity and ideas to every project: Approach technical challenges with genuine interest and the drive to understand how things work. Bring in new ideas, experiment with approaches, and let yourself be inspired by the complexity of the task. Playfulness – Serious about the mission. Driven by curiosity.
