Tools Development & AI Anomaly Detection Engineer (M/F) - Internship
Since its spin-off in September 2025, AUMOVIO has continued the activities of the Automotive division of the Continental group, now as an independent company. A technological leader in electronics, AUMOVIO offers a complete portfolio of innovative solutions that make mobility safer, more connected, autonomous, and exciting. Its expertise covers sensors, displays, braking and comfort systems, as well as next-generation software, architectures, and assistance systems. In 2024, these activities generated a turnover of 19.6 billion euros. Based in Frankfurt, Germany, AUMOVIO employs nearly 87,000 employees across more than 100 sites worldwide.
Within the "Smart Access" group, you will work on embedded solutions for vehicle access and starting via smartphone (Digital Key / CCC, secure microcontroller ↔ HSM / Secure Element architecture). You will join a dynamic group to help it grow, automate its processes, and increase the efficiency of its validation benches. In an Agile (SAFe) and international environment, the embedded software development and testing teams rely on internal tools to analyze protocol communications (SPI/CAN bus) and ensure compliance with system requirements (DOORS). To support the growth of these activities, we are looking for an intern to ensure the continuity and evolution of our automatic analysis and anomaly detection tool for SPI logs, combining deterministic protocol rules and artificial intelligence technologies (RAG / LLM). You will join an embedded software development team and benefit from technical support throughout your internship.
Your challenges Reporting to the embedded software development team, you will contribute to the optimization and extension of the SPI log analyzer used by the development and validation teams. Maintain and evolve the parsing and protocol analysis engine as well as anomaly detection based on DOORS specifications. Perfect the integration of Artificial Intelligence (RAG / LLM) for intelligent log analysis: optimization of the vector indexing pipeline, improvement of multi-dataset semantic search, and enrichment of the interactive diagnostic assistant. Automate and industrialize processing pipelines: evolve the continuous monitoring scripts for logs from test benches and integrate them into continuous integration pipelines (CI/CT, Jenkins). Develop and enrich user interfaces and APIs to facilitate anomaly visualization and ease of use for the testing teams. Collaborate closely with embedded development, testing, and validation teams in an agile environment to identify new use cases and deploy innovative solutions.
You are a student in your final year of a university or engineering school program (Master's level), specializing in computer science, software engineering, embedded systems, or data/AI. You have strong programming skills in Python (data manipulation, regex, modular architectures, OOP). You have knowledge of embedded communication protocols / smart cards (SPI, CAN) and software validation. You are familiar with automation concepts, CI/CD, and version control (Git, Bash, PowerShell, Jenkins). You are curious and comfortable with modern AI technologies (RAG, embeddings, LLM API, code assistants). You have a good level of English, which is essential in our international context. You are autonomous, dynamic, rigorous, proactive, and demonstrate excellent analytical skills.
