Electronic Modeling and Low Frequency Systems Tool Developer (M/F) - Internship
Since its spin-off in September 2025, AUMOVIO has continued the activities of the Automotive division of the Continental group, now as an independent company. A technological leader in electronics, AUMOVIO offers a complete portfolio of innovative solutions that make mobility safer, more connected, autonomous, and exciting. Its expertise covers sensors, displays, braking and comfort systems, as well as next-generation software, architectures, and assistance systems. During the 2025 fiscal year, AUMOVIO achieved a turnover of 18.5 billion euros. Based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, AUMOVIO employs approximately 82,000 employees across more than 80 sites worldwide.
Integrated into the generic platform dedicated to automotive access systems using low frequencies (classic access system), within the RnD "Wireless Communication" department, you will join a team involved in the development of communication, access, and detection systems intended for the automotive sector. It also provides its expertise and technical support to various low-frequency access projects of AUMOVIO worldwide. In a context of transformation and optimization of research and development activities, you will work in close collaboration with our PASE classic system platform manager. Your internship will consist of designing and developing a generic tool to define, evaluate, and validate a low-frequency system and electronic strategy. This tool will contribute to reducing error risks, facilitating the sharing of technical expertise, and promoting the reuse of existing models and solutions. In this capacity, your main missions will be as follows: Take charge of existing development processes, models, and tools; Participate in the update and optimization of existing generic HW LF designs; Design the modular software architecture of a tool to assist in the development of low-frequency platforms; Develop a module to translate customer specification requirements into system parameters; Develop performance estimation and evaluation functions to compare expected objectives with technical feasibility; Integrate tolerance, worst-case, and energy consumption calculations; Contribute to the development of a module dedicated to the homologation strategy; Automate the generation of generic platform documents that can be adapted to different projects; Implement a structured technical database that can notably be exploited by artificial intelligence solutions; Develop an administration space allowing for the maintenance and evolution of the tool; Create functions facilitating the review and control of low-frequency electronic designs; Document the developments carried out and participate in their validation with business experts.
You are preparing a Master's level degree (Bac+5) in your final year of engineering school or Master 2, with a specialization in electronics, embedded systems, electrical engineering, electromagnetism, industrial computing, or an equivalent technical field. You possess the following skills: Good understanding of RLC-type resonant electrical circuits; Good knowledge of electromagnetism and coupled systems; Good knowledge of analog, digital, and power electronics; Good mastery of the Python language and its development environment; Ability to design a software tool according to a modular architecture; Ability to verify and improve technical models based on calculations and measurements; Interest in automation, modeling, data management, and artificial intelligence applications in an engineering environment; Ability to understand technical documentation in English. Knowledge of version control, particularly with Git, as well as software testing and validation, will be appreciated. Rigorous and curious, you enjoy solving technical problems. You demonstrate autonomy, creativity, and good analytical skills. Your ability to work in a team, communicate clearly, and propose solutions will allow you to succeed in this internship.
