Engineers, Inspectors and PMO – HPC nuclear project (M/F)
Finding solutions to climate change is the priority of the 21st century, and involves switching to low-carbon energy. At Assystem, we have therefore made it our mission to accelerate the energy transition everywhere in the world. And to achieve this, our 8000 Switchers combine their historical expertise in engineering and project management with digital technologies. Present in 13 countries (Europe, Middle East, Asia), we work on the production and distribution of low-carbon electricity, through the development of nuclear and renewable energies. We also participate in the modernization of electrical grids and the electrification of uses, through hydrogen to decarbonize the transport and industry sectors.
Contract type: UK Local Contract Mission duration: 24 to 36 months, possibility of extension As part of the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project – construction of two new generation EPR reactors – we are strengthening our teams on-site and in engineering. Several opportunities are open for technical, quality, inspection, and project support positions. Profiles sought Inspectors: welding, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, coatings (NACE/ICORR level 2 required for coatings) Engineers: mechanical, electrical, HVAC, piping, quality (junior to senior) PMO / Project Control: planning, KPI, interface coordination Technical Administrators / Records Support / Systems & Data Manager Main missions (depending on the position) Perform technical inspections: compliance, hold points, respect for quality standards Analyze and validate engineering documents: plans, P&ID, diagrams, technical files Drive project monitoring: planning, indicators, action management, reporting (PMO) Manage project documentation and data: regulatory records, updating information systems Participate in technical and multi-disciplinary meetings, ensure coordination with field and engineering teams Write reports, track deviations, and propose corrective actions An extraordinary project Hinkley Point C is one of the largest nuclear projects in Europe.
Joining it means contributing to an emblematic construction site recognized for its technical complexity, its high standards, and its stimulating international environment. HPC allows for the development of rare expertise in: EPR engineering, inspection and control on complex installations, nuclear project management, multi-disciplinary coordination. The skills acquired on HPC are highly valued and sought after in the energy sector and beyond. For employees who wish, Assystem offers the possibility to subsequently evolve towards strategic projects in France, notably: the EPR2 program, future SMR projects, or other major nuclear installations under development. HPC thus constitutes a foundational experience opening the way to evolutions towards expertise, steering, or technical management.
You have training or experience in engineering, inspection, quality, or project management, and you master (or are well acquainted with) the main industrial standards such as ASME, ISO, IEC, RCC-M, or EN. Ideally, you possess experience in nuclear, energy, or large industrial projects and are able to operate in a demanding international environment. Your level of English (minimum B2) allows you to communicate daily with multicultural teams and to understand technical documentation. You demonstrate rigor, autonomy, and organization. For positions dedicated to coatings, NACE/ICORR level 2 certification is required.
