Your missions
Project name: Sizing of structures, preparation of tender documents, and supervision of works for water and sanitation in the city of Kisumu in Kenya.
Context: This project is part of the "Lake Victoria Water and Sanitation Program (LVWATSAN)", funded by the Agence Française de Développement and the European Investment Bank. It primarily focuses on the water and sanitation issues of the city of Kisumu, the third largest city in Kenya, located on the shores of Lake Victoria.
This internship offers a global perspective on the challenges of drinking water, wastewater, and fecal sludge treatment internationally, thanks to the many components of the project. It will involve addressing the global aspects of purifying river water and collective and autonomous sanitation, and in particular the sizing of drinking water, wastewater, and fecal sludge treatment plants following national (Kenyan) and international regulations and standards. The project also includes the preparation of tender documents for each component (FIDIC Red Book, Yellow Book, Gold Book), the analysis of company bids, and the supervision of works.
Studies, document drafting, and exchanges with the Kenyan partner/client will be conducted in English, and project coordination in an international context will constitute another strength of this internship.
