About ALTAVE
Protecting lives and resources with technology: this is ALTAVE's purpose.
Your mission
As a Systems Development Coordinator at ALTAVE, you will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary engineering team, composed of professionals in artificial intelligence, computer vision, web development, and hardware and electronics integration.
Your main challenge will be to develop people, strengthen the team's professional maturity, ensure proper capacity planning, and increase delivery predictability.
You do not need to be a technical reference in code or architecture. For topics of greater technical depth, you will have the support of specialist Tech Leads. Your focus will mainly be on people management, servant leadership, work organization, and operational excellence.
What you will do day-to-day
Coordinate and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team
Conduct periodic 1:1s, supporting the individual and professional development of team members
Develop competencies related to communication, professionalism, emotional intelligence, business vision, and autonomy (soft skills)
Lead the team's capacity planning, monitoring allocation, priorities, and resource availability
Monitor schedules and ensure greater predictability of deliveries
Prioritize demands in partnership with Product and Project Management Office (PMO)
Identify and remove blockers that may compromise the fluidity of deliveries
Act transversally with Tech Leads, DevEx /Infrastructure, Information Security, Production, Deployment, and Continuous Operations
Conduct and improve agile rituals and workflow management practices
Monitor performance, capacity, and delivery flow metrics
Be the team's main interface with adjacent areas, supporting the alignment, prioritization, and direction of demands
Promote an environment of autonomy, responsibility, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Mandatory requirements
Education and Language: Completed degree in Engineering, Technology, or related fields, and English proficiency at a minimum B2 level.
Professional Experience: Experience in leadership and facilitation of technology teams (in positions such as Engagement Manager, Technical Project Manager, Delivery Manager, Product Manager, Agile Coach, or Scrum Master), with proven capacity to act transversally, connecting different areas.
People Management: Servant leadership and a genuine capacity to develop professionals, with practical experience in conducting 1:1s, applying feedback, conflict management, and conducting difficult conversations with maturity.
Delivery and Process Management: Understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies (especially Scrum and Kanban), with a focus on capacity planning, monitoring metrics, indicators, workflow, and predictability of results.
Communication and Relationship: Clear and objective verbal and written communication, with ease in interacting with different profiles and the ability to balance team needs with business priorities.
Profile and Soft Skills: Organized, analytical, and execution-oriented posture, with a strong sense of ownership, combined with a mindset of continuous improvement, collaboration, curiosity about new technologies, and the ability to ask the right questions, even without being the technical specialist.
Differentiators we value
Complementary Education: Specialization, postgraduate degree, or MBA in areas such as People Management, Project Management, Engineering, or Agile Methodologies.
Technological and Market Mastery: Experience in high operational demand environments, such as B2B software companies, industrial technology, and IoT, including familiarity with AI and the integration of software, electronics, and hardware.
Advanced Engineering Practices: Experience with organizational structures aligned to value stream (such as Stream-Aligned Teams and Team Topologies) and knowledge in Systems Engineering, Requirements Engineering, or Software Lifecycle Management.
Expected results in the first months
Immersion and Diagnosis: Deep understanding of the team's dynamics, competencies, and challenges, establishing clear alignment of short-term priorities with Product and PMO, and ensuring fluid integration with Tech Leads and transversal areas.
Team Management and Development: Implementation of a structured routine of 1:1 meetings and Individual Development Plans (PDIs), building an environment of high collaboration, responsibility, and greater professional autonomy.
Flow and Delivery Organization: Definition of a clear capacity planning model that brings visibility to allocations and bottlenecks, directly reflecting in the improvement of flow metrics and the predictability of the team's deliveries.
