Senior International Contracts Lawyer M/F - ALSTEF Group

Within the Group Legal Department, you will act as a true strategic partner to the sales, project, and purchasing teams, across the entire contractual cycle of our Airport and Intralogistics activities.
In an international and fast-growing environment, you will be at the heart of complex, high-stakes contracts, both in Europe and on the American continent. Beyond your role as an advisor and negotiator, you will actively contribute to the transformation and professionalization of the Group's legal function.
Your objective: anticipate risks, secure the Group's commitments, and support operational teams in finding pragmatic and value-creating solutions.
Your main responsibilities / Missions:
Support sales teams and negotiate strategic contracts
- Intervene during the offer and tender phases with the sales teams.
- Analyze, draft, and negotiate complex and strategic international commercial contracts.
- Participate directly in negotiations with French and international clients.
- Identify, anticipate, and secure key contractual issues and risks.
- Present risks, options, and recommendations to internal validation bodies.
Support project teams throughout the contractual cycle
- Ensure the transfer and proper understanding of contractual risks to project teams.
- Advise Project Directors and operational teams on the interpretation and application of contracts.
- Support the management of claims, emerging disputes, change orders, and sensitive contractual situations.
- Work in close collaboration with Contract Managers, in a logic of complementarity between legal expertise and operational contract management.
Secure purchasing and subcontracting contracts
- Support the Purchasing teams on files presenting major contractual stakes.
- Negotiate strategic supplier contracts and subcontracting contracts, in partnership with the Purchasing Department.
- Ensure consistency between commitments made to clients and those negotiated with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Contribute to the evolution and harmonization of the Group's Purchasing contractual standards.
Contribute to the transformation of the legal function
- Participate in the definition, deployment, and continuous improvement of contract management processes.
- Contribute to the harmonization of practices between the different entities and functions of the Group.
- Develop and evolve contractual templates, tools, risk matrices, and negotiation supports.
- Participate in the structuring and professionalization of contract management within the Group.
- Conduct training sessions and raise awareness among sales, project, and purchasing teams regarding proactive contractual risk management.
- Be a source of proposals to simplify practices, streamline interactions, and strengthen the efficiency of the legal function.
A truly international scope
You will primarily operate within a scope covering Europe, the United States, Canada, and Latin America, in regular contact with subsidiaries, operational teams, and, when necessary, local external counsel. With a Master 2 degree in business law, contract law, international trade, or equivalent, possibly supplemented by an LL.M., you have at least 10 years of experience in an international company or within a law firm.
You have developed solid expertise in complex international commercial contracts, ideally in industrial, project, or high-stakes contractual environments.
You specifically master:
- Contract law and the negotiation of international commercial contracts.
- Contractual issues pertaining to Common Law.
- Industrial contracts and contracts related to complex projects.
- Purchasing and subcontracting contracts.
- Analysis and management of contractual risks.
- Management of pre-litigation situations and dispute resolution.
Concrete experience with contracts subject to American and/or Canadian law is indispensable.
