Specialist Quality Assurance International FMCG – Near Food (m/f/d) (Commercial Specialist)

These are your tasks

• You are an active team member in our FMCG purchasing team
• You are responsible for quality aspects of, among others, our private label items in the product categories cosmetics, detergents, cleaning agents, hygiene products, paper products, and Pet Food
• You plan and coordinate regular, risk-oriented product investigations, evaluate the results, and initiate the corresponding corrective actions with the supplier in case of deviations
• You create and update testing plans for our private label items
• You support purchasing through item evaluations and recipe checks
• You work closely with external testing institutes and manufacturers and advise other specialist departments on product law and quality issues
• You provide support within the framework of risk management (e.g., definition and monitoring of corrective actions or the organization of returns or recalls)
• You actively participate in internal tastings and product tests
• You support project work on quality-relevant topics

This is what you bring with you

• Completed studies in the field of food chemistry, chemistry, food technology, nutritional science, or comparable
• Initial experience in quality assurance, quality management, or the investigation and evaluation of FMCG (private label) items is desirable; we are happy to give career starters the opportunity to gain initial experience
• Confident application and interpretation of national and European legal standards
• Knowledge of relevant certification systems, quality seals, and requirements from consumer magazines and NGOs
• Analytical and structured way of working
• Strong communication skills and team orientation
• Confident handling of relevant application software as well as good English language skills
