And now, we are looking for a Team Lead PHP Engineer who is prepared to contribute to the next chapter of our company's growth. The person will join the Payments Systems core team and take on the responsibility of integrating new payment gateways, running experiments, and maintaining the systems that power our users' payment experience while ensuring seamless and secure transactions. As Senior PHP Developer, you will design and implement payment experiments, integrate new gateways, and optimize existing systems — with direct impact on the payment experience for millions of users.

What you'll be working on: Develop the payments and billing codebase and contribute to its technical direction

Take experiments and gateway integrations end-to-end: scope, build, analyze, deliver a verdict

Optimize existing payment systems for reliability, performance, and security

Lead people: run 1:1s and PDPs, mentor, keep the team aligned and resilient

Maintain production payments and troubleshoot issues as part of an on-duty rotation

Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and Growth on payment initiatives

Use AI-assisted development in your daily work

What we expect from you: Maturity and self-sufficiency — owning tasks and whole features end-to-end

6+ years of backend development experience; 1–2+ years leading or mentoring a small team (tech lead / team lead)

Strong PHP skills with a modern framework (Yii2 and/or Laravel)

Relational databases (MySQL and/or PostgreSQL)

Git and Docker expertise

Software architecture design and testing discipline gained on high-load projects

Task estimation, decomposition, and prioritization against business goals

Cross-functional stakeholder communication — taking ownership and knowing who to ask

Professional-level English for daily written and spoken collaboration

What helps you rock: Payments or fintech domain experience

Kubernetes, GitOps (ArgoCD), and CI/CD (GitHub Actions)
