Are you our next Cabin development preparation Leader (All Gender)?

Join our Industrialization and development (Manufacturing engineering) department where you will be part of a 20-person team in charge of developing business and first class cabins for Stelia Aerospace in Rochefort. The development leader will be in charge of a new business on the OPERA program, which currently represents more than 4000 seats in the order book.

Your mission

Your main missions will consist of: Being the development preparation leader for an OPERA business case. Holding a Manufacturing Engineering leader position within the development platform. Escalating major and blocking issues for your business. Being the guarantor of the preparation deliverables schedule and their quality: schedule review, APQP, project gate, and SOP. Participating in the definition of Make or Buy and industrial breakdown, based on the economic sheet of the business. Performing cost monitoring. Supporting, evaluating, and validating the Design Office's definition during the development phase (design, technologies, tolerances,...) in order to guarantee the economic performance of the product. Participating in the product's Design To Cost to provide cost reduction solutions. Participating in the improvement of perceived customer quality during the development phase. Being a proactive force to improve the functioning and working methods of the department, and participating in the Preparation professional Guide.

Your profile (What will make the difference)

  • You have several years of experience in aeronautics, mechanics, production, or equivalent.
  • Good knowledge of the preparation profession and product industrialization (Process, Methods, and Tools).
  • Knowledge and application of the fundamental principles of continuous improvement.
  • Solid knowledge/skills in reading blueprints.
  • Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team (Workshop / Team meeting).
  • IT tools: SAP (Production Planning module) and Google Suite.
  • Soft skills are also paramount for this position: Strong team spirit and collaborative approach.
  • Ability to interact, influence, and build links with a large number of partners.
  • Leadership.

The Rochefort site The Airbus Atlantic site in Rochefort specializes in the assembly of fuselage elements for the A320, A330, A350, A400M, F8X, and G7500 families. It also produces pilot seats for all commercial aircraft programs, business jets, military aircraft, and civil and military helicopters. Finally, it designs and manufactures First Class and Business Class passenger seats marketed under the STELIA Aerospace brand.
