For our renowned customer from the aerospace industry at the location in 71522 Backnang, we are looking for:
Mechanical Design Engineer Satellite Technology Aerospace Engineering (m/f/d)
YOUR TASKS
- You will work as a Mechanical Engineer Design (m/f/d)
- You supervise a product family or main assembly/a specialist area from a design perspective
- You model complex optical systems using 3D design and methodology
- You collect, elaborate, clarify, introduce changes regarding the products and assemblies
- You manage the standards and interfaces regarding the individual modules and the recording of the respective characteristics in the product configurator
- You develop and model complex optical systems together with analysis and development with a focus on manufacturability, durability, and modularization
- You define the interfaces and, if necessary, assign sub-tasks to assisting employees
- You ensure that all required manufacturing documents are available at the right time in the right quality
- You participate in meetings with customers and sub-suppliers including the presentation of results
- You develop the working methods and applicable technologies, such as: AI in the design process or metallic 3D printing
YOUR QUALIFICATION
- You have a completed technical degree as an Engineer Aerospace Engineering (m/f/d), Engineer Mechanical Engineering (m/f/d), Engineer Automotive Engineering (m/f/d), Industrial Engineer (m/f/d), Engineer Electrical Engineering (m/f/d), Engineer Communications Engineering (m/f/d), a technical vocational training with further training as a Master/Technician (m/f/d), Design Engineer (m/f/d), Technical Drafter (m/f/d), or a comparable qualification
- You bring several years of professional experience in design, design, shaping, modification, calculation, project management, engineering, research, development, R&D, system integration, system engineer or system engineering, preferably from aerospace engineering, industry or the automotive sector
- You have good MS-Office skills
- You have good knowledge of 3D design and design methodology with SIEMENS NX, CAD/PLM systems, ECTR, FEM, ANSYS, Java, C, SAP / R3
- You preferably bring knowledge in programming, AI
- You have very good English skills
- You have a structured, careful, and result-oriented way of working
- You are a team player and have good communication skills
