For our renowned customer from the aerospace industry located in 71522 Backnang, we are looking for:
Development Engineer Optics Satellite Technology Aerospace Engineering (m/f/d)
YOUR TASKS
- You will work as a Development Engineer in the field of Optics (m/f/d)
- You develop optical systems and subsystems in the field of future generations of "Laser Communication Terminals" (LCTs) taking "Design for Manufacturing" (DfM) into account
- You support the development of opto-mechanical designs
- You develop integration, alignment, and test concepts in coordination with manufacturing
- You perform standard-compliant specification of optical components
- You develop optical test concepts and carry out prototype performance tests
- You support the specification of requirements for tests on series products as well as the assessment of results of optical systems and subsystems
- You assess the optical subsystems and supplier designs with regard to performance, feasibility, and robustness
YOUR QUALIFICATION
- You have a completed technical degree as a Systems Engineer (m/f/d), Electrical Engineer (m/f/d), Communications Engineer (m/f/d), Information Technology Engineer (m/f/d), Communication Technology Engineer (m/f/d), Mechanical Engineer (m/f/d), Aerospace Engineer (m/f/d), Physicist (m/f/d), Mathematician (m/f/d), or a comparable qualification
- You bring several years of professional experience in project management, research, development, R&D, testing, experimentation, simulation, analysis, system design, device or system development, system engineering, system engineer, or support, preferably from aerospace engineering, industry, or the automotive sector
- You preferably bring knowledge in high-frequency technology, antenna technology, communications technology, information technology, satellite technology, digital technology
- You preferably have experience in optical designs (calculation, dimensioning, tolerancing, specification) of optical components, Dfm methodologies, Zemax (OpticStudio)
- You preferably have experience in concept development and execution of optical tests
- You preferably have knowledge in optical manufacturing (manufacturing processes, key parameters)
- You have good MS Office skills
- You have very good English skills
- You have a structured, careful, and result-oriented way of working
- You are a team player and have good communication skills
