The space is located at Vuorimiehentie 2A on the Aalto campus in Otaniemi, and it is part of Aalto's creative ecosystem and Aalto Studios.

A community coordinator enthusiastic about developing new things to build the TiLA! community and strengthen the entrepreneurship ecosystem of the creative sectors.

Your role

You are the heart of our community and the first contact for new members of our community. You are present in the community daily and get creative professionals and entrepreneurs to work together. You plan and implement inspiring activities, events, and cooperation to support creative work and entrepreneurship. In this role, you have the opportunity to influence the advancement of the operating conditions of the creative sectors in a top-class entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem at Aalto University and in Espoo. Our goal is to make new openings and develop our creative sector ecosystem into an international pioneer.

Your tasks include

Piloting and developing TiLA!, its services, and community activities in broad cooperation.

Searching for suitable creative sector actors for TiLA!, introducing the new space and service concept, and selling spaces and services.

Coordinating and managing the selection, leasing, and contract processes for actors chosen for the spaces.

Building the community and creating an inspiring and engaging atmosphere of cooperation to support creative work and entrepreneurship.

Opening up the opportunities provided by the Aalto University innovation campus and Business Espoo's business services to members of the creative community. Helping creative sector actors succeed as community members and independent entrepreneurs.

Creating development-supporting encounters with actors from the creative and other sectors, e.g., events and visits, and acting as a sparring partner on development paths.

Coordinating and implementing communication: You understand the forms of community communication and cooperate within Aalto and with Espoo.

Promoting the growth of visibility and impact of the creative sectors at Aalto University and enabling the rooting of creative sector entrepreneurs in Espoo.

We expect from you

A university degree.

Experience in the arts, culture, and creative sectors, creative work, and entrepreneurship in the creative sectors.

Your team and work community

You will work as part of the Aalto University creative sectors ecosystem team. In addition to yourself, the team includes 5 other people who are responsible for TiLA! as well as the Space 21 space concept and the Aalto Creatives pre-incubator operations.

The creative sectors ecosystem team is part of Aalto Studios, which offers diverse audiovisual creativity spaces and services on campus, from Aalto Fablab to augmented reality studio spaces. A total of about 30 creative professionals work at Aalto Studios.
