The role

The logistics coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring all logistics activities related to project materials, equipment, and shipments for the EPCM project. The role ensures timely delivery, compliance with project specifications, and adherence to ADNOC standards and international logistics regulations.

Key responsibilities

Develop and implement logistics plans aligned with EPCM project schedules

Coordinate transportation of materials from vendors to site (local and international)

Liaise with procurement, expediting, and construction teams to ensure timely delivery

Arrange freight (air, sea, land) and optimize cost-effective shipping solutions

Manage freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers

Track shipments and ensure on-time delivery to project sites

Prepare and review shipping documents (commercial invoice, packing list, COO, etc.)

Ensure compliance with UAE customs regulations and project requirements

Handle import/export permits and clearance processes

Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers

Act as a focal point between project teams and logistics service providers

Resolve shipment delays, damages, or discrepancies

Monitor inventory levels and coordinate material storage at site/warehouse

Ensure proper handling, storage, and preservation of materials

Support site team with material issuance and tracking

Ensure all logistics activities comply with ADNOC standards and HSE policies

Maintain proper documentation and audit trails

Follow international shipping and safety regulations

Maintain logistics reports, shipment status updates, and KPI tracking

Provide regular updates to project management

Identify risks and propose mitigation plans

Expected:

Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business administration, or related field

Minimum 10 years of logistics experience in oil & gas / EPC / EPCM projects

Experience working on ADNOC Gas or ADNOC projects preferred

Strong knowledge of international shipping, Incoterms, and customs procedures

Familiarity with EPCM project workflows and material management systems

Strong coordination and organizational skills

Knowledge of Incoterms and freight forwarding

Excellent communication and stakeholder management

Problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MS Office

Experience in large-scale gas processing or offshore/onshore projects

Knowledge of UAE customs and port operation

Certification in supply chain/logistics (e.g., CILT, APICS) is a plus
