HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (RECRUITMENT & PLACEMENT)

ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. Please see Additional Information section below. You will serve as a Human Resources Specialist (Recruitment and Placement) in the U.S. programs Section ofMARINE CORPS BASE CAMP BUTLER .

Major duties

• You will advise hiring managers on recruitment strategies, hiring flexibilities, and federal appointment authorities.
• You will conduct job analyses, assess applicant qualifications, adjudicate veterans' preference, and issue referral lists.
• You will validate selections, determine pay setting, coordinate reporting dates, and extend job offers.
• You will process personnel actions (e.g., appointments, promotions, reassignments) using automated HR systems.
• You will resolve complex staffing issues, conduct HR training, and prepare official correspondence and reports.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Conducting job analyses; rating and ranking applicants to determine basic qualifications and eligibility; adjudicating veterans' preference; setting pay; and processing personnel actions using automated HR systems to support full-lifecycle recruitment and placement.
