Job Description Assistant Web Press Operator

We are seeking an Assistant Web Press Operator to join their production team in Missouri . This position is a strong opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined, dependable, and interested in building a long-term career in web offset printing .

Starting pay: $23/hour

Open to candidates with 0–1 years of experience

2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Key Responsibilities

Assist press operators with setup, operation, and shutdown of web offset press equipment

Help prepare and monitor paper rolls, roll stands, web feeding, and delivery systems

Support press crews during production runs to maintain quality and efficiency

Monitor print quality, color, registration, and overall production flow

Assist with folding, cutting, sheeting, and delivery operations

Make basic adjustments under the direction of press operators or leads

Help troubleshoot production issues and communicate concerns to the team

Perform routine cleaning, maintenance support, and housekeeping around the press

Follow job tickets, production schedules, safety procedures, and quality standards

Work closely with press operators, leads, and supervisors to meet production goals

Qualifications

Web offset printing experience preferred, but not required

Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn required

Prior experience in print manufacturing, production equipment, bindery, or manufacturing is a plus

Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment

Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions

Comfortable working around large production equipment

Reliable, dependable, and team-oriented

Must be open to working 2nd or 3rd shift
