Property Litigation Fee Earner
Job Type: Full-time Location: Hampshire Salary: £54,000 - £62,000 – PLUS: Fee Earner bonus potential around (£5000 - £8000)
Join an award-winning, Legal 500-ranked team as a Property Litigation Fee Earner. If you have 2-4 years PQE in property litigation and thrive in a dynamic environment, this role offers the opportunity to handle a diverse caseload of residential property disputes within our Dispute Resolution Team.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage contentious residential property matters from initial instruction through to resolution.
- Handle landlord and tenant disputes, including leasehold disputes, service charge disagreements, and tenancy issues.
- Conduct possession and eviction proceedings under the Housing Act 1988, including drafting notices and representing clients in court.
- Resolve breach of lease and contract disputes involving unpaid rent or unauthorised alterations.
- Advise on boundary and adverse possession disputes, including land ownership issues and right-of-way conflicts.
- Engage in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) methods such as mediation, arbitration, and negotiations to resolve disputes outside of court.
- Represent clients in litigation, drafting pleadings, preparing cases for trial, and appearing in court and tribunals.
- Ensure compliance with housing law and landlord-tenant regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 2-4 years PQE in property litigation or dispute resolution.
- Strong technical knowledge and experience handling various residential property disputes.
- Excellent drafting skills, capable of preparing correspondence, pleadings, and witness statements.
- Commercially astute, focused on delivering practical and cost-effective solutions.
- Exceptional client care skills, able to build trust and communicate effectively with diverse clients.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
