MEP Engineer
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced MEP Engineer to oversee the planning, design coordination, execution, and supervision of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works across construction projects. The successful candidate will ensure that all MEP installations are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, applicable codes, quality standards, and project schedules. Key Responsibilities Manage and supervise all MEP activities on construction sites.
Review and coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, firefighting, and related systems .
Review shop drawings, technical submittals, material approvals, method statements, and RFIs.
Coordinate MEP works with architectural, structural, and civil works to avoid clashes and site conflicts.
Ensure MEP installations comply with approved drawings, project specifications, codes, and standards .
Supervise subcontractors and MEP site teams and monitor their performance.
Coordinate with consultants, clients, contractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
Monitor project progress and ensure MEP activities are completed according to the approved schedule.
Conduct regular site inspections and ensure proper quality of workmanship.
Identify technical issues and provide practical engineering solutions.
Review material quantities and assist with procurement and material planning.
Monitor testing, commissioning, inspection, and handover of MEP systems.
Prepare and review progress reports, inspection requests, and technical documentation.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements .
Assist in project cost control and identify potential variations or additional works.
Participate in coordination meetings and provide technical support to the project management team.
Ensure proper preparation of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, testing reports, and handover documents .
Technical Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering .
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in MEP construction and project execution.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, electrical systems, and building services .
Excellent knowledge of MEP drawings, specifications, and construction methods.
Experience with shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs, and technical approvals .
Good knowledge of relevant international standards and local building codes.
Experience in coordinating multiple MEP disciplines within large-scale construction projects.
Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
Proficiency in AutoCAD ; knowledge of Revit MEP, Navisworks, and BIM coordination is an advantage.
