Role: AS400 Engineer / Manager

Location: Veghel, Netherlands

Work Mode: Hybrid mode (2 to 3days on-site per week, willing to visit client's office in Amsterdam once in a quarter on need basis.

Job Description:

Key responsibilities:

As a senior engineer, it is expected to guide and mentor other engineers in the team and sometimes takes the position of Team Lead as necessary - Delivery KPIs - ITSM KPIs like SLA, MTTR, Escalations, incidents reduction etc - DevSecOps KPIs - DORA metrics, change deployment rate

Must Have Skills/Knowledge:

AS400 / IBM i Technical Skills

Strong experience with:

• RPG III / RPG IV / RPG ILE / RPG Free Format
• AS400 Lansa
• CLP programming
• DB2/400 (DB400) and embedded SQL

Understanding of:

• AS400 job processing, batch jobs, and scheduling
• File systems, data structures, and database design
• Integration & Application Understanding
• Experience with legacy ERP systems and custom-built applications

Knowledge of:

• Interfaces between AS400 and other systems (SAP, POS, logistics systems)
• Ability to analyse data flows, API...
