Role Description The Chief Animator is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Greater Accra Region, Ghana, with flexibility for some work from home. The Chief Animator leads the visual storytelling and animation process, transforming legal concepts into clear, engaging animated content for various digital platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing animation concepts, creating storyboards, producing high-quality 2D/3D animations, and collaborating with legal and content teams to ensure accuracy and clarity. The role involves supervising other animators or creative contributors, maintaining consistent visual standards, and managing timelines to deliver projects on schedule. The Chief Animator also contributes to creative strategy, experiments with new animation techniques and tools, and ensures that all visual outputs align with the organization’s mission of legal literacy. Qualifications

Strong proficiency in animation and motion graphics tools (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, Toon Boom, or similar). Experience in storyboarding, visual design, character design, and layout for educational or explainer-style content. Ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging visual narratives and short animated segments. Demonstrated leadership skills, including mentoring creative team members and coordinating project workflows. Familiarity with or interest in law, legal education, or edtech content; ability to collaborate effectively with subject-matter experts. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a hybrid environment and manage time independently. Relevant diploma or degree in Animation, Graphic Design, Multimedia Arts, Communication Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Portfolio showcasing high-quality animation work, preferably including educational, explainer, or legal/technical topics.
