Motor Claim Advisor (Accident)
Job Summary
Manage vehicle accident claims and coordinate repairs to ensure timely completion and customer satisfaction while maintaining accurate documentation and liaising with insurance companies for payment and claim settlements.
Responsibilities
- Manage vehicle accident claims from initiation to settlement to ensure timely resolution
- Coordinate scheduled repairs for accident vehicles as recommended by surveyors to maintain fleet safety and reliability
- Prepare and maintain all necessary documents including job cards, files, reports, and invoices to support repair and claim processes
- Obtain approval and signatures on discharge forms before releasing vehicles to ensure compliance with company policies
- Follow up with insurance companies and customers to secure timely payment for claims
- Maintain and analyze insurance claims reports to identify trends and provide management with actionable insights
- Monitor aging reports to detect and escalate cases with settlement delays or losses of used vehicles
- Administer and organize all documents related to costs, claims, and vehicle history for accurate record-keeping
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer needs are met effectively throughout the claims and repair process
- Communicate repair progress and expected completion dates to customers to keep them informed and satisfied
Required competencies and certifications
- Nitec, Higher Nitec, or ‘O’ level certification or above
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience managing vehicle accident claims
- Possess a valid Class 3 driving license
- Ability to articulate issues clearly, analyze problems, and provide effective solutions
- Skilled in preparing accident claim quotations and liaising with insurance companies on claim status
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Strong administrative and coordination skills demonstrated through managing documentation and follow-ups
- Excellent communication skills combined with a positive and professional work attitude
