About the Role We are seeking a seasoned, high-credibility Governance & PMO Workstream Lead to take full ownership of the end-to-end governance and programme management control frameworks for a high-profile regional transformation programme. Sitting at the heart of the programme across the UK&I region, you will establish, embed, and lead the structural rigor, executive reporting, risk management, and decision-making forums required to accelerate delivery at pace. This role requires an independent transformation professional who can quickly assess governance maturity, identify gaps, and constructively challenge senior stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Daily tasks

  • Governance Leadership: Establish and lead the Governance & PMO workstream, maintaining robust decision-making forums, reporting mechanisms, and control frameworks.
  • Planning & Assurance: Drive programme planning, cross-workstream dependency management, milestone tracking, and overall delivery assurance.
  • Risk & Action Management: Oversee RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), ensuring proactive escalation, migation, and resolution.
  • Executive Engagement: Produce high-quality management information and executive-level communications to ensure alignment and stakeholder confidence.
  • Regulatory Alignment: Ensure all programme milestones remain strictly aligned with cyclical Corporate Income Tax (CIT) compliance cycles and critical statutory reporting deadlines.
  • Continuous Improvement: Assess existing governance arrangements and rapidly implement pragmatic improvements and standardized methodologies across all workstreams.

Requirements

Proven Track Record: Extensive experience establishing and leading Governance/PMO functions within large-scale, complex transformation programmes. Senior Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with the credibility to influence, align, and constructively challenge senior leadership. Programme Rigor: Expertise in end-to-end planning, risk management, executive reporting, and delivery controls in fast-paced settings. Autonomy: Ability to immerse yourself rapidly, identify operational gaps, and execute solutions independently.
