Technical Office Engineer
Required Our company, specializing in aluminum fabrication and installation, is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Office Engineer capable of preparing technical documentation, reviewing project requirements, and coordinating with clients, consultants, suppliers, production teams, and site installation teams. Responsibilities and Duties Review architectural drawings, technical specifications, bills of quantities, and tender documents
Prepare and review shop drawings for aluminum works
Prepare accurate quantity take-offs and material lists
Prepare and submit technical and material submittals for consultant approval
Prepare quotations, preliminary cost estimates, and variation orders
Coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers, production teams, and site engineers
Follow up on the approval of drawings, materials, and samples
Prepare fabrication orders and cutting lists for aluminum profiles
Identify discrepancies between drawings, bills of quantities, specifications, and actual site conditions
Provide technical support to production and installation teams
Organize and maintain records of drawings, revisions, approvals, requests for information, and project correspondence
Monitor project progress and assist in resolving technical issues
Prepare as-built drawings and project handover documents
Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or Production Engineering
Previous experience in a technical office role is preferred
Experience in aluminum fabrication, façade works, or construction projects is an advantage
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
Knowledge of Revit or aluminum cutting and optimization software is an advantage
Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
Good knowledge of bills of quantities, material take-offs, technical specifications, and shop drawings
Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
Good command of written and spoken English
Strong communication, coordination, and time-management skills
Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
