Accounts Executive [up to $4,000+ AWS | Central]

Responsibilities

• Review accounting entries, Concur claims, travel-related payments, staff reimbursements, tax codes, transaction dates, authorization limits, and cost allocations.
• Process payment applications and accruals by validating vendor invoices and supporting documentation.
• Prepare and review income billings and accruals against contracts and agreements.
• Manage low-value asset capitalization and create asset master records for IT and office equipment.
• Perform month-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, net adjustments, and fair value accounting.
• Review import and export negotiation documents and ensure accurate accounting classification of transactions.
• Validate inventory reconciliations, material receipt entries, and supporting documentation, and prepare inventory reports.
• Oversee bank reconciliations, ensure complete posting of bank-related transactions, and resolve reconciliation variances.
• Prepare tax-related reports promptly after month-end closing to support timely tax adjustments.
• Review foreign currency forward contract applications, supporting documents, and accounting treatments.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to resolve operational and financial queries.
• Support internal control initiatives through transaction sampling reviews and documentation checks.
• Assess documentation against J-SOX and internal control requirements and report findings to supervisors.
• Perform ad hoc accounting and finance duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience.
• Familiarity with Singapore Accounting Standards and financial reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of accounting software and SAP system.
• Experience in month-end closing, accruals, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Understanding of inventory accounting, asset capitalization, and internal control processes.
• Knowledge of foreign currency transactions and related accounting treatment is an added advantage.
