A well-established shipping company is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented MGA Accountant to join its Accounting & Finance Department.

Καθήκοντα

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing vessel-related accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring the timely processing and reconciliation of maritime financial transactions.

• Handle daily accounting operations using the MGA Accounting System.
• Process and monitor vessel operating expenses (OPEX).
• Maintain and reconcile vessel accounts and financial transactions.
• Review and process supplier invoices, payments, and expense allocations.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Assist in the preparation and monitoring of vessel budgets.
• Support monthly and year-end financial closing procedures.
• Prepare financial reports and accounting statements for management.
• Coordinate with vessel operators, suppliers, and internal departments.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.

Απαιτήσεις

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Previous accounting experience within the shipping industry.
• Hands-on experience with the MGA Accounting System is highly desirable.
• Good knowledge of vessel accounting and maritime financial operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
