Senior Materials Planning Assistant

As a senior materials planning assistant at EEMC, you will play a key role in assisting material planning officers and supervisors with the planning and procurement of aircraft spares and tools to meet operational and maintenance demands. You will also assist with inventory reviews to ensure optimum inventory levels and data accuracy.

In this role, you will:

• Work alongside material planning officers and supervisors to find cost-effective and timely solutions by reviewing IPC, CMM, and other documentation, and suggesting alternate or breakdown part numbers or in-house or in-situ repair options.
• Assist material planning officers and supervisors in defining part numbers and setting up interchangeabilities in the ERP system after collecting the required data from IPC, CMM, SB, S-file, and other technical documentation.
• Assist with compiling data required for float calculations, float reviews, surplus reviews, non-moving parts, and other activities.
• Assist with stocktaking of EK inventory at DXB and provide support at outstation stores to achieve the desired level of accuracy between inventory records and physical stock levels.
• Assist with reviews of gross stock value, service levels, inventory float and quantities, usage, and other planning parameters in the ERP system’s inventory control module to maintain data accuracy.
• Assist with generating and actioning reports associated with inventory control.
• Assist material planning officers and supervisors with preparing outstation spare usage data and conducting inventory reviews. Create station lists based on standard recommended spares lists and update EK stock records to identify material shortages for new stations or aircraft type changes.
• Coordinate with repairs, maintenance, and warehouse teams to follow up on material shortages against nil stock reports, assist in tracking dues-in components, and clear store discrepancies.
• Expedite open purchase orders and quotes by liaising with external suppliers and freight forwarders to obtain materials and tooling within the required timelines.
• Assist material planning supervisors with collecting and processing data for daily, weekly, and monthly analysis reports.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

• 12 years of schooling or equivalent.
• Relevant engineering experience in production planning, aircraft maintenance, workshops, maintenance planning, technical records, or a related environment.
• Good understanding of aircraft documentation and records, including AMM, IPC, CMM, work packages, and maintenance schedules.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); knowledge of ULTRAMAIN is an advantage.
