SQL Server DBA

We are seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to join a dynamic team managing infrastructure database projects for a multinational organization.

Work Location: This role offers a hybrid working model, with around two days per week in the Brussels office. You will collaborate with stakeholders across multiple countries.

Job Description: As a technical expert within the infrastructure database project team, you will take ownership of planning and executing multiple projects within the SQL Server domain. Your responsibilities will include ensuring high-quality deliverables, adherence to standards, and the successful migration of existing systems to new environments. You will also facilitate a smooth handover from project teams to support groups.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting technical evaluations of the current database environment
• Designing and implementing new database environments
• Migrating database components efficiently
• Coordinating and communicating with end users

Experience Required:

• Proven experience as a Database Administrator in an infrastructure-focused role
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in large and complex environments
• 5–10 years of relevant experience

Technical Skills Required: The ideal candidate will have:

• In-depth knowledge of SQL Server products, including SSAS, SSRS, SSIS, and MDS
• Expertise in database internals, queries, schema design, linked servers, and agent jobs
• Proficiency in Windows Server
• A solid understanding of infrastructure components such as monitoring, virtualization, storage, and networking
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
