Purpose of the role We are looking for a business-savvy, hands-on and structure-building manager to build and run the new Insights & Data Enablement function from the ground up. You will lead a small, high-trust team that partners closely with key business functions, combining data knowledge with genuine business context to make sure data actually drives decisions — not just dashboards. You will translate insight into action and help the organization realize measurable value from its data. Beyond leading the team, you will design and govern how the function collaborates — both within the Data Management Office (DMO) and with business stakeholders — and personally act as Business Partner for one or two business areas yourself. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines people management, building a new function and operating model, and hands-on delivery on real business problems. You will be a key contributor to building DMO's credibility as a core function, and to the successful execution of our Data & AI strategy. You will report to the Head of DMO, joining the leadership team. Key responsibilities

  • Team leadership & development: Hire, coach and manage a smaller team (~5 FTEs) of Business Partners and Analysts; set individual goals, run regular 1:1s and performance reviews, and build the team's business-partnering and analytical craft over time
  • Acting Business Partner: Personally own the Business Partner relationship for one or two business areas, applying the same standard as the rest of the team is, staying close to business ensuring value creation.
  • Collaboration model: Design and continuously improve how the function works — with the rest of DMO (Data Platform & Delivery, Master Data & Governance, Strategy & Transformation) and with business stakeholders — including intake processes, prioritisation forums, ways of working, and escalation paths
  • Prioritisation & portfolio: Maintain a single view of enablement demand across all business areas; broker trade-offs and sequence work against value, effort and DMO delivery capacity
  • Value & impact tracking: Define and track how the function demonstrates value — adoption rates, time-to-decision, business outcomes influenced — and report this to the Head of DMO and senior stakeholders
  • Senior stakeholder management: Represent Insights & Data Enablement with senior business leaders, resolve conflicting priorities, and ensure end-to-end activation and implementation happens across functions.
  • Voice of the business inside DMO: Feed business-side patterns and demand signals back into DMO's roadmap, platform, and governance priorities

What success looks like

  • A functioning, staffed team with clear coverage of the priority business domains
  • A documented and adopted collaboration model, used consistently by both DMO and business stakeholders
  • Demonstrable adoption of data-driven decisions in the Team Lead's own partnered area(s)
  • A prioritised, transparent enablement backlog trusted by both DMO leadership and business stakeholders

Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years working with data insights and enablement, with the ability to build business context, progress and solutions.
  • People: Experience with and motivation for people management, guiding, growing and mentoring a team bridging and translating data into value.
  • Range: Comfortable moving between hands-on analytical work, coaching a team, and operating-model design
  • Influence: Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills; able to align senior business leaders and technical teams around shared priorities
  • Data fluency: Working knowledge of data platforms, analytics and governance concepts sufficient to be credible with both DMO and business audiences
  • Operating discipline: Structured, comfortable defining process and holding people (including peers) accountable to it
