THE ROLE

The Facility Maintenance Technician II will support the maintenance, operation, and continuous improvement of the fulfillment center. This position will perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on facility systems and equipment. The technician will also troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and automated systems, mentor Level 1 technicians, and support facility projects. This role requires a self-directed, highly motivated individual with advanced technical knowledge , strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to act independently while ensuring the facility operates safely and efficiently.

SCHEDULE

Tuesday - Saturday, 1:30PM - 10:00PM (must be available to work overtime as needed)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead daily conveyor diagnostics, preventative maintenance (PMs), and repairs

Conduct daily conveyor inspections and facility safety walks

Perform preventative maintenance on dock doors, dock levelers, fire pumps, and emergency systems

Inspect and maintain fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, and HVAC systems

Lead monthly facility and conveyor cleaning projects

Support and execute facility improvement and construction projects

Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and automated systems

Replace and maintain HVAC filters, facility lighting, and general upkeep

Mentor and support Level 1 technicians in maintenance procedures

Document and maintain accurate maintenance records and reports

Participate in root cause analysis of equipment failures and recommend solutions

Assist in developing and improving maintenance procedures and protocols

Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automated systems

Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment

Able to lift up to 75 lbs and work at heights using ladders and mechanical lifts up to 40’

Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation

Experience performing troubleshooting and repair on complex systems

Capable of mentoring and training junior maintenance staff

Ability to adjust work hours based on unscheduled breakdowns or project needs

Strong communication skills to effectively interact with supervisors, managers, and team members

Must be trustworthy, accountable, and safety-conscious

Open to change and capable of helping design future maintenance processes

Required to wear radio and personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times

Ability to operate or be trained on material handling equipment and aerial lifts
