Taking the next step in our strategy to develop and expand our digital offering, we are establishing a new Product Area (PA): Sandvik Applied Manufacturing Technologies (SAMT). Our new PA has a dual mission: to profitable expand SMS position within manufacturing by creating and bringing premium digital offerings to market across the manufacturing value chain; and to support value creation through digitalization across all businesses within SMS. The missions are reflected in the structure of SAMT who consists of two principle parts: The first is a portfolio of customer facing and self-sufficient Business Units (BU) which is growing fast both organically as well as through mergers and acquisitions. The second part is CODE, who from a position within SAMT support both the BU as well as the execution of digital strategy across SMS.
We are now looking for a strong Product Area Controller to support the PA President and the PA management team in driving the rapid growth of the business. As PA Controller for SAMT, you are at the core of creating the future for Sandvik and you have continuous exposure to senior management within the group. This position is located at the SAMT Head Quarters in Stockholm, within walking distance from Sandvik Group Head Quarters.
Your mission – Steering business towards success and creating transparency in the organization. In this position, you are responsible for performance management and setting the financial steering for the PA, which includes establishment of relevant business models and setting efficient performance management systems. You ensure timely reporting of the consolidated actual performance, forecasts and targets, while supporting the operations with analysis, advise and tools. Another important key is creating effective internal controls and a financial governance model to minimize risks in financial reporting and performance.
With an eye for details and trends in your area of responsibility, you steer the business in the right direction - minimizing future risks and capitalizing on positive trends. You challenge the organization with your insights into the drivers of our business and profitability; finding and addressing core issues in an effective and business-oriented manner while identifying possible ways of improvement. You work in the Sandvik and SMS finance community to develop and share best practices, developing both yourself and your peers. In this position, you are a member of the SAMT Management team and you report to the President PA Applied Manufacturing Technologies.
Your character – A challenging, proactive business controller with the ability to create engagement We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree and a solid finance background from software focused businesses – preferably in an international environment. As we act on a global stage, you have great skills in both written and verbal English.

You are calm when making your point and strong in your delivery, which creates trust and confidence with both coworkers and stakeholders on different levels. Your great communicative skills also allow you to explain complex financial information in a clear way that suits different audiences. With a structured and analytical mindset, you ground the business and ensure fully informed decisions with a high level of engagement.
